I didn’t think so.My mission is to get to the “real” in real estate: to push back against the idea that homes are commodities to be traded by a warehouse of web servers. Unlike an algorithm, I’m hands-on/hands dirty, service-focused, and obsessed with communication and clarity. For sellers, I go beyond posting a few pictures online: I’ll find your home’s X-Factors, and build a marketing campaign to inspire motivated buyers. For buyers, I focus on gaining a nuanced understanding of your interests and capacity, to transform a listing into a home.I’m from the Chicago area and have lived in a few cities, but Madison has always been home. I've been a Realtor since 2015, and I hold the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) and Green designations from the National Association of Realtors. I have a Masters in Public Administration from Carnegie-Mellon and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UW-Madison; it's combination of “hard” skills, along with the eye and intuition of a trained artist is unique in this business, and it enables me to toggle easily between the numbers, and the senses.Before becoming a Realtor, I spent over 20 years managing research institutes at Duke University and UW-Madison, and working in arts organizations in Chicago, Washington, DC, and Pittsburgh. I’m a musician and record collector, and I’m fascinated by architecture, design, and urban history. I’m a supporter of Madison’s creative community and organizations like TONE Madison, Arts + Literature Laboratory, and the Willy Street Chamber Players, and I'm on the Board of Directors of the Madison Trust for Historic Preservation. My family lives on Madison’s east side, where we share a 1920s Craftsman Bungalow with a Pitbull mix, and a nearly unmanageable number of records, books and guitars.
