I worked on the GEMCO operation and managed projects across the port, township, mineral processing plant, dams and quarries, ensuring the projects were delivered on schedule and to budget. I was responsible for the project lifecycle from definition, through study, risk assessment and execution to completion. Led by example to continuously improve the safety culture across the business, demonstrated by achieving over 300,000 man hours LTI free across the housing projects. Managed multidisciplinary contractor teams and effectively liaised with senior management, staff, contractors, engineers, suppliers and stakeholders. Primarily an office based role, cash flow forecasting, budget control, budget management and SAP accounting formed a large part of my role.
