Iain Sinclair Design has designed hundreds of products for numerous companies; furniture and lighting, clocks and watches, tableware, Hi-Fi equipment, intelligent games computers and other leading edge, electronics based hardware including over 100 products for Saitek Ltd (a leading computer peripheral and intelligent games console supplier) between 1980 and 1995.

Grant helped demonstrate the ZX81 and ZX Spectrum personal computers at their launch events including the 5th Personal Computer World Show in London and other events including a demo to Japanese students which was a joint venture between Ferguson & Sinclair. Both ZX machines sold more units than all other competing computer brands worldwide for some time. Later on (in 1986), Grant worked in the Sinclair company research centre at Milton Hall near Cambridge (home of Sinclair's MetaLab AI - Artificial Intelligence research unit).
