I am an highly experienced chartered professional Electrical and Explosive Ordnance Engineer with significant transferable skills gained during my 24 years of service in the Royal Australian Navy. Whilst I am extremely proud of my naval service, I feel it now time to seek new challenges outside of Defence. As a highly versatile engineer with proven experience and leadership in challenging situations, I would be a great asset for any future employer. 
I have focused my career on three simple principles: achieving outcomes, informing decisions and empowering people. With a proven background in combat systems, explosive ordnance, engineering management and system safety; it is my ability to keep a strategic perspective, focus on the outcomes and assisting managers make informed decisions that are my real strengths. In more recent years I was hand picked to lead a significant engineering reform program, have assisted others resolve complex technical issues and remediate troubled projects. In doing so, I look for the most effective means of achieving the desired outcomes, ensure decisions are properly informed and any associated risks have been adequately articulated and recorded. It is not my niche skill set that makes me highly valued and employable; rather it is my ability to consistently demonstrate a high degree of competency, contextualise issues and provide sound leadership in challenging situations.
