In my role as a Physical Science Lab Assistant during my work-study, I had several essentialresponsibilities. These included assisting in the preparation of chemistry and physics labsfor the instructors, which involved maintaining, ordering, and mixing chemical solutions. Ialso played a crucial role in testing and optimizing new lab pedagogical exercises beforetheir presentation to the class. Additionally, I actively contributed to the setup andprocurement of new science lab equipment and reagents for the school. In my role, I had the privilege of providing electrical contracting services to a diverseclientele, including commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential customers. Thisposition was particularly meaningful to me as I took over from my late father, who servedas the CEO and a Master Electrician of the corporation. With years of experience workingclosely with him while growing up, from assisting with early morning estimates to spendingSaturdays working on service calls as a child, I gained a deep understanding of the industry.Before selling the business, I independently managed it for five years, without my father,while still effectively leading the team. I supervised all aspects of company operations,including decision-making and hands-on manual labor tasks such as wiring, trenching,pulling wires, bending conduits, and estimating. I also oversaw the installation of services. Iled a team of dedicated employees and sub-contractors who consistently exceededcompany expectations, ensuring utmost customer satisfaction.
