I am a sophomore at Virginia Tech's Pamplin School of Business who is majoring in finance. What led me to this field of study is my passion for entrepreneurship and my close attention to detail. In high school, I created software that automated the checkout process for sneakers in high demand. I had to write code, market the product, negotiate sales with other competitors in the market, hire freelancers, and manage the finances of the project. This experience fueled my desire to start something new or be a part of a business that is trying to revolutionize an industry. Additionally, I was the head coach for a youth basketball team for two years. I had to organize practices and drills, strategize during games, and frequently communicate with parents and other coaches. This experience taught me a lot about leadership, delegation, communication, and quick thinking. I plan to use my experiences and skills to elevate a company in any financial role.
