• Being a part of a research project focusing on Cold Air Damming (CAD), we occupied the King Air Research Aircraft and other observation stations to collect data to support our project
• I had the fascinating opportunity to fly in the aircraft during a CAD set up in our region while other members of our group set of small radiosondes at the surface to collect data that the aircraft could not capture
• Data collected allow us to do an analysis of the Froude Number, a dimensionless number that relates to the intensity of a Cold Air Damming event.
• I and another member presented our research during the poster session of the 2019 Annual American Meteorological Society Meeting in Pheonix, Arizona.
