As the Bidges of Hope ops/HR intern, I have had the opportunity engage in many HR duties and have gained an understanding of the intensity of operations. I support the HR supervisor in onboarding, training, and documentation duties. Bridges of Hope is also reviewing all company policies, I have gotten the opportunity to work with Quality Assurance, HR, Operations, and many of the teams leaders in polishing our policies.

Prior to becoming a coordinator at Meijer, I had worked in customer service there for a year. The opportunity to gain responsibility arose and I took it. While holding the Customer Service Coordinator position I had the opportunity to take the lead on many fronts. I was responsible for ensuring that customers were treated properly and left satisfied. I coordinated a team of 10 through the Meijer pick-up promotion, making sure that no product was misplaced and every customer felt satisfied with their order.

It was my responsibility facilitate an efficient line while keeping quality to standards. I was the last person to check the food coming out of the kitchen, and the kitchen leader for the other cooks. This meant that I would keep the staff in the kitchen connected to the current demands. This job forced me to communicate well and become a leader in high-intensity situations.

For this role, my daily tasks consisted of evaluating current debtors' payment progress, and determining if their current payment plan is still suited for them. This required me to research their debt history, their ensuing payment history and analyzing their current payment trend. This process involved thorough data entry to keep my company's system current to the debt account. In accordance with their payment trend I then paired them with a new payment plan, calling to confirm the debtor's compliance.
