Manage and administer all aspects of the Integrated Library System, including maintenance and upgrades of Oracle and Integrated Library System software, Windows desktops and the Apple Macintosh equipped Learning Commons. Additional duties included the management of departmental web servers, streaming servers, and associated MySQL and Oracle databases, and participate in the development of data driven web applications for use internally and campus wide. Other duties include providing database design and development for various projects internally, training departmental staff in areas of a technical nature, identifying, sourcing and recommending hardware purchases as required for the department, and assuming the responsibility of supervising the Systems department in the absence of the University Cybrarian.

Duties include the research, analyzing and documenting of business process solutions, management of a $100,000 annual IT budget and the provision of technical support, guidance and recommendations for purchasing and campus wide issues. Other duties include the development of policies, standards and procedures of a technical nature in areas such as interfacing strategies and internal billing processes, and the coordination and development of new information systems to satisfy internal computing requirements. Internal application development using Coldfusion 4.5. Ongoing sessions with campus staff to identify opportunities for improvement in the areas of eCommerce and electronic invoicing with major vendors.
