Acting as Manager of Information Technology and MLS® Manager for the Niagara Association of REALTORS®, this role involves the management of two MLS® staff overseeing the data integrity and input of MLS® real estate data for the Niagara Region which ultimately ends up on REALTOR.ca, a national website for consumer real estate searching.

Director of Technology at the Law Society of Manitoba is required to provide the technical vision and guidance and support regarding all areas of technology for the organization ranging from desktop, servers and email services for an office of 50 staff.

Acting as a member of the Senior Management Team, provide technical guidance, leadership and development services, which will support not only the Foundation staff, but the thousands of University of Winnipeg donors. As Systems Manager, support the information needs of the Foundation through the creation and execution of complex queries of the Oracle based donor database on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis, as well as ensuring the safeguarding of all Foundation data. Provide guidance in the area of information security, and support the Communications Team by researching and recommending innovative and effective methods of communicating Foundation information to thousands of donors. As Webmaster, conduct all web development of both Internet and Intranet applications which will enhance the Foundations effectiveness in the fundraising industry, and provide a rich and informative web experience to visitors of the Foundation's Corporate website. Responsibilities also included the design, development and deployment of the website which supports the University of Winnipeg's Capital Campaign, complete with online giving.

Senior Developer and Architect for major Library development projects. Manage and administer all aspects of the Integrated Library System, including maintenance and upgrades of Oracle and Integrated Library System software, Windows desktops and the Apple Macintosh equipped Learning Commons. Additional duties included the management of departmental web servers, streaming servers, and associated MySQL and Oracle databases, and participate in the development of data driven web applications for use internally and campus wide. Other duties include providing database design and development for various projects internally, training departmental staff in areas of a technical nature, identifying, sourcing and recommending hardware purchases as required for the department, and assuming the responsibility of supervising the Systems department in the absence of the University Cybrarian.

Manage the Information Systems division of the Purchasing Department, including a staff of two support personnel. Duties include the research, analyzing and documenting of business process solutions, management of a $100,000 annual IT budget and the provision of technical support, guidance and recommendations for purchasing and campus wide issues. Other duties include the development of policies, standards and procedures of a technical nature in areas such as interfacing strategies and internal billing processes, and the coordination and development of new information systems to satisfy internal computing requirements. Internal application development using Coldfusion 4.5. Ongoing sessions with campus staff to identify opportunities for improvement in the areas of eCommerce and electronic invoicing with major vendors.

Administer a 35 user Novell NetWare Network. Duties included the provision of hardware and software support for users in a Microsoft Windows 95/MS Office 95 environment. Develop new office procedures that make effective use of network resources including a paperless procedure of the processing of correspondence. Other tasks included database development using Microsoft Access 95, the selection and implementation of both Novell’s GroupWise Messaging System a, new Computerized Facilities Maintenance Management System, and the review and recommendation of current computer hardware technologies for departmental purchases.
