Time to repeat all of the above."Since 2017, I have led a rotating group of talented edtech professionals through a unique creative process with the annual goal of releasing two robotics competition games that will be played by hundreds of thousands of students in 50+ countries. Each year, the success of this project relies on demonstrated expertise in countless skillsets:- Technical writing- Engineering project management- Conflict mediation / resolution- Consensus-building & creative problem-solving- Data analytics & forecasting- Brand management- Public speaking / scriptwritingDuring this time, I also enjoyed being an executive production team member and on-stage host personality for the annual VEX Robotics World Championship. The Guinness-recognized "World's Largest Robotics Competition" features a one-of-a-kind $1M+ live production with an in-person audience of 15,000+. Outside of games, my time at VEX was spent excelling in sales, marketing, e-Commerce, operations, and leadership roles. In 2020, I used this diverse background to successfully leap into the independent consulting world. Now, I have the pleasure of providing technology & operations consulting services to small- and mid-sized businesses. After reviewing a client's challenges, we make a plan together for streamlining existing processes, creating new efficiency tools, and providing any training needed. It started as "spreadsheet guru for hire"; my specialty is reducing data management processes from hours down to minutes. But, projects quickly expanded: - End-to-end inventory management systems for a small engine repair shop (20,000+ part SKUs!)- Mobile-friendly invoice generation & tracking systems for construction & handyman services- Rewriting a biomedical research team's VBA code to handle 2M+ data points (originally written for <10k)- A 12-month supply chain forecasting app for a luxury leather goods manufacturer - Brick-and-mortar storefront IT overhauls (POS, network installation, security systems)- e-Commerce website developmentAcross this career, one theme has held true: I love solving unsolvable problems, helping others grow in the process, and having fun while we do it.
