Given the maturity of BlueScope’s Safety System and culture, the main focus of this role was managing a level of “Risk Tolerance”. This was by way of instilling felt leadership concepts, Behavioural Based Safety initiatives. This was achieved by working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and leading a team of Safety professionals across BlueScope’s customer facing businesses.

SKILLED Group is the largest provider of workforce solutions in Australia, employing over 50,000 workers a year. They service a broad range of industries such as; rail, FMCG, recruitment, heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining & resources, primary manufacturing, transport & logistics, utilities and infrastructure.Practical experience enabled me to identify areas of improvement on client sites, although not always welcomed, perseverance influenced client attitude and assisted with cultural change.

Parramatta

As an OHS business unit partner there was a lot of exposure to civil construction operations and infrastructure works, as well as the traditional services council provides.

Provided risk management, workers compensation and OHS advice and strategic assistance to OAMPS clients enabling brokers to deliver personalised local service. Assisted in the writing of a Safety Management System for the Civil Contractors Federation, and then lead a series of seminars across Australia to their members.
