Great customer experience (CX) appears to be (and is often experienced) as simple and profound, when it actually requires expertise, precision and relentless attention to detail. Every instance of CX is a moment that reinforces or challenges what people know about a brand and product AND how they feel about it. Successful CX seeks to leverage every point from awareness forward. Exceptional CX is holistic, blending three elements: compelling brand and storytelling, operational excellence, and meaningfully engaging programming. These three themes encompass: “Who we are.” “What we do.” and “Why it matters.” We need to communicate how products and programs have quality, value and relevance. We have to assemble teams, deploy resources and develop interfaces that consistently provide efficient and accurate services; and produce interactions that are informative, motivating, and “leave ‘em wanting more.” In this work, touchpoints, brand and communcations, or purchases share equal importance with the operations, systems, and data that make the CX possible.
