The Production Engineer assists the Production Director in devising efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product. The Engineer will prepare machinery and equipment layouts, plan workflows, conduct statistical production studies, and analyze production costs.Essential Functions: 1. Create and update product design specifications including part and assembly drawings and vendor documentations. 2. Implement and maintain all part revisions, bills materials in both CREO and GP databases. 3. Coordinate with global headquarters in requesting, maintaining, and updating product design specifications. 4. Create and update product assembly instructions. 5. Design, develop and realize mechanical assembly and test fixtures. 6. Work with production to identify and develop process improvements. 7. Develop and implement First Article Inspection process for supplier parts critical to function. 8. Identify supplier quality issues and drive corrections. 9. Review and root cause product field failures and drive corrections to product design, parts or manufacturing process. 10. Lead and drive a variety of projects supporting production, service or plant changes. 11. Develop project plans, business cases and schedules.

Support GE Current Technology’s product development efforts as a member of the Nela Park laboratory team. • Operate, maintain and calibrate Gonio Photometer for visible light intensity distribution measurement.
