Grant McGlaughlin is a corporate and securities partner focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and governance and compliance matters. Grant has advised issuers, underwriters, investors, boards and special committees on a wide range of corporate transactions and governance matters. In 2011, Grant was appointed by the Ontario Securities Commission to the Securities Advisory Committee (SAC) for a three-year term. The 12 member committee advises the Ontario Securities Commission on legislative and policy initiatives, and capital market trends.Grant has been invited to chair, lecture or be a panellist at institutions such as The Canadian Institute, Osgoode Professional Development and the Schulich School of Business. Recent speaking engagements include: The Law Society of Upper Canada – Securities Law Update 2010 on “Poison Pills” and the TSX Group US Campaign Conference on “Cross Border Offerings”.
