For eight years I worked graphic designer for Torch, Lee University's quarterly alumni magazine. Over that time, I created designs for over 1,400 pages, and became a master of Adobe InDesign. This job also required me to work with our printer once a quarter to make sure that the magazine passed printing proof tests. The publication is mailed to approximately 25,000 alumni homes around the United States.Results: 30+ quarterly issues; over 1400+ pages designed in eight years

Worked in the Education department as a trainer for Parallon Business Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of HCA. My responsibilities in this position included development and facilitation of education materials based on current department initiatives. This job required me to multitask, and occasionally take on multiple projects at once. Working as a trainer for one of the hospital software applications, one half of the job included the development of student and instructor materials to support the instructor-led classes. For the training aspect, I travelled to various HCA supported facilities around the country to conduct system training for the users who would be using the software day-to-day. In tandem with the training responsibilities, this job also included administrative tasks that went into preparing to deliver a course, such as organizing and printing materials for students and instructors, maintaining and coordinating multiple training calendars, as well as creating agendas, attendee lists, and facilitation schedules. In addition to the training responsibilities of this job, I also have been responsible for several side design projects, including but not limited to: video editing, web design, graphic design, logo design, and e-learning developmentResults: - Helped to successfully launch a pilot software program. Trained over 150 employees on this new tool between November 2012 and August 2013.- Developed videos to help launch a new startup within HCA.
