Since September 2016, I've helped publicize local/regional filmmakers, local screenings, international composers, and guest lecturers. Occasionally, that has resulted in interviews with award-winning artists and scholars like Hal Hartley, Mary Halvorson, Zia Anger, Kelley Conway, Toby Driver, Kelly O'Sullivan, Alex Thompson, Anna Webber, Alex Koi, Eiko Ishibashi, and Sean Baker. In 2019, I shifted into a Film Editor position, and I've further overseen and coordinated film-related assignments and recruited writers.

Since summer of 2023, I've worked the door and handled shop sales at several music events. I've also been learning sound/mixing duties.

Since the summer of 2019, I have been regularly meeting with a committee (virtually and otherwise) to discuss curating an ongoing experimental film series that has a home at Arts + Literature Laboratory in Madison, WI. Thus far, I have been in direct contact with several national and international filmmakers like Madsen Minax, Ben Russell, and Britni West.

With Ricoh, a contractor for CUNA Mutual Group, I primarily handled daily incoming mail. My duties included sorting and imaging insurance policy payments, bill notices, and hundreds of daily whole life and accidental death insurance applications. As our processes evolved in 2019, I also digitally indexed and sorted applications on a virtual desktop. Additionally, I updated member addresses using LifePro and BlueZone DOS software.

Every week, I programmed a one-hour show that focused on art songs and avant-progressive music from the mid-1960s through late-2010s: "The Manifold Curiosity." Additionally, I conducted several interviews. While a few were live in-studio, others were pre-recorded with not only local musicians but national and international talents like Michael Groome, High Plains, Dan Romans, Bent Knee, Ben Willis, Caroline Davis, and Evelyn Drach.

For several years, my primary emphasis was reviewing new and repertory films, but in the latter half of the 2010s, I also covered some new music releases. During that time, I was also asked to contribute to year-end lists and commentary on other cultural events.

As part of this local film resource created and maintained by David Klein, I promoted regional events, including UW-Madison campus screenings, Micro-Wave Cinema Series, Wisconsin Film Festival, and Milwaukee Film Festival with long-form reviews. I also interviewed the occasional local programmer and national director.

As a contractor for AAA Wisconsin Headquarters, I was responsible for sorting and delivering all incoming mail as well as postmarking all outgoing mail from twenty-one Wisconsin branch offices. Interoffice mail distributions and packages were prepared with the UPS Business Solutions software. In addition, I was required to calculate daily cost savings on presorted items using Microsoft Excel for monthly business reports. Seasonal WebEx business training sessions enhanced my overall performance and understanding of developing matters in the position.

At Metso Minerals, I performed a wide variety of tasks relating to the analysis of minerals in terms of micron size and their resulting grindability. Many of the small-scale or bench functions consisted of Bond Ball Mix Work Index tests, which based an initial mill charge on a one-liter bulk density and was ultimately determined through several stages of grinding with steel balls. Additionally, I operated a laser diffraction particle size analyzer called a Malvern Mastersizer, helpful in determining the size of fine or powdery minerals. Once testing was completed, I often input and graphed test results using Microsoft Excel, which was accompanied by a technical report. In a few instances, I was even designated to cross-train and educate employees on these familiar testing procedures.

While managing and editing "Entertainment" content for Emerging Thoughts, I also produced original material through independent artist profiles and unique list-making. Other responsibilities included gathering and resizing accompanying images for specific articles.

As an intern for the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, I worked with the marketing and communications staff to increase awareness of the organization in the local, regional, and national community. Additionally, I attended events and meetings to produce press releases and plan special events. The Pennsylvania Glass Trail was a crucial project; duties consisted of tracking the many glass artists in the Berks County area and organizing their locations into an appropriate pamphlet and press release, complete with directions and artist information for sightseers and enthusiasts.
