About Grant Pinkney
As a new graduate chemical engineer I am eager to approach problems and find solutions to all barriers. Whether it is finding solutions for day to day problems such as short term project work or long term environmental concerns such as converting fossil fuels into renewable and low carbon emission solutions, I am driven to solve challenges and learn from opportunities. My work experience includes working in the midstream industry, specifically focusing on liquids pipeline operations and gas meter station improvements. Additionally, I have worked in a refinery which minimized it's environmental footprint through carbon capture and storage. This experience introduced me to the benefits of low carbon projects and taught me about the transportation and refining processes that are crucial in Alberta's energy sector. I have also had the opportunity to work in a hydrogen fuel cell catalyst lab as a research chemist and got valuable hands on experience and gained knowledge in fuel cells and fuel cell applications.Outside of school I enjoy golfing, hiking, running and have been looking to give back to the community through volunteering at a local soup kitchen and coaching youth badminton.Feel free to reach out if you would like to chat about the energy sector within North America or chatting about other important industries as I love to learn and listen about new sectors and technologies.
