As one of the most disruptive, fastest growing, and obsessively engineered consumer brands, I helped carve the path for Casper's offline footprint by opening up the World Trade Center pop-up location. Part of my mission was to ensure that the experience created was unique, personalized, and hospitality-driven. The immersive space allowed guests to connect with innovative Casper sleeping products in carefully crafted rooms that elevated the story behind the brand. With visual integrity at the forefront, and extensive product knowledge and expertise on display, I translated the ease of online shopping into a thoughtful experience that also maintained a healthy sales pipeline.

Under Comcast mentorship I was elected by fellow teammates as President of OneLove -- A Philadelphia start-up company comprised of selected high school students with a common goal of creating a business with a social conscious. For every five blankets sold, one was donated to Project HOME -- a local non-profit organization that helps find permanent housing for the homeless in Philly. This partnership evolved into a retail event that I organized. In addition to our charitable blanket element, all remaining profit was donated. Under my leadership I oversaw eighteen students and led our team to raise investor funds and net gross $12,000 in a short seven week selling period -- far superior to our competitors in the regional competition. I learned and implemented the three most critical skills of the business world: communication, collaboration, and crafting relationships. Overall it was an extremely valuable and transformative experience to have been a part of.

When I initially started my "first job" search, I immediately resonated with the Banana Republic brand. Not only in the fashion sense, but rather the adventure aspect. Ever since I was young I've had a passion for traveling and exploring the world. I researched the roots of BR and and discovered they were built on the same foundation. Appearing presentable is crucial for success in any business endeavor and, even though I don't see myself entering the fashion industry, a good sense of style (and a nice cologne) can go a long way! As the youngest Brand Ambassador ever hired at the BR location at the King of Prussia mall, the largest retail mall in the U.S. based on leasable space, I was tasked with overseeing the men's department. This role put me in charge of maintaining everything from register, to fitting rooms, to being out on the floor selling suits and Banana Republic Cards (brand credit cards). I viewed my position as more than just a sales associate, I was a brand ambassador attempting to build confidence in clients through apparel. Whether someone was looking for help on what to wear to their big interview or wanted to wow their date, I took great pride in being a part of the process. After all, clothing has the power to make someone feel comfortable and confident. I learned the valuable skills of communicating with clients and coworkers, building long-term relationships, balancing a healthy schedule with school, and maintaining a strong work ethic filled with multi-tasking! Having the opportunity to start my career with a company as well-respected and socially/environmentally conscious as Banana Republic (GAP Inc.) is an experience I'm grateful for.
