I quickly became relied upon to lead projects such as lab packs, lab moves, lab decontaminations, and emergency responses. I gained project management skills by jumpstarting a site-wide chemical inventory program for Biogen’s Cambridge facilities. While leading these high pressure jobs I was able to gain great communication and organization skills while working to exceed the expectations of both external and internal clients. As I moved up in the company I took on larger roles and became site lead for both Lonza in Portsmouth NH and Baxalta/Shire in Milford MA. I was then promoted to Senior Environmental Specialist and became the lead at Gatehouse Park Biohub, which houses AstraZeneca’s Boston R&D as well as a lineup of ever-changing small to mid sized biotech startups.
