As a new engineer to the group, I first went through training on practice RTAs, and then slowly increased my competency and challenge level with the help of my mentor. Through out the RTA process, thorough documentation of calculations and assumptions are maintained for ease of review and future changes. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, this job was primarily Work From Home after my first two weeks. -

For my summer project, I analyzed production and completion data to determine the impact of hydraulic fracture cluster spacing on the yield profile, with respect to time and cumulative production. Over the course of the summer, I attained knowledge in decline analysis and economic evaluation for estimating future production of gas and condensate gas wells, specifically those in the Point Pleasant Shale. As part of my project, I developed a workflow for analyzing gas, oil and yield profiles based on completion design and fluid type, which can be used to estimate facility needs through out a well’s life cycle. -

My daily role involved the operation of the different equipment used in the fracture jobs and researching the hydraulic fracture pumps for my internship project. Over the course of the internship, I worked a six days on, three days off schedule, with 12 hour shifts when at the site. From the experience, I learned about the machinery and processes involved in high pressure stimulation treatments, along with the maintenance required to prevent non-productive operation time. -
Early-Identification InternGe Oil & Gas - Automation And Optimisation Technologies Jun 2014 - Aug 2014Houston, Texas, UsAs an Early-Identification Intern, I worked in the Flow Control Group for GE Oil and Gas. The Flow Control Group primarily concentrated on the design and manufacturing of valves and actuators for use in the oilfield. Over the course of my internship, I investigated the use of a less-expensive steel alloy for the valves' stem material, and initiated a design review to utilize the new material in manufacturing which would result in cutting production costs. During the internship, I used SOLIDWORKS to design a test-stand fixture that is universal for all GE flow control valves and is to be used in the Research and Design testing facility for API 6A certification testing. Lastly, over the course of the internship I gained in-depth knowledge on wellhead assemblies, flow control valves, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, and GE standards for drawings.
