I have worked with digital media all my working life, both within terrestrial and satellite broadcasting, newspaper publishing media and both university and college teaching.Additionally I have a Masters (MA) in Digital Media and my specialisms are graphics, design for print, web and screen, digital 2D & 3D illustration, video post, 2D & 3D animation, web technologies and design for web.I am now available to work freelance for any of the mentioned specialisms. This can include graphic design, digital illustration, brand identity, marketing campaigns, broadcast graphics, websites for individuals or business, animation for websites or social media. I have been producing marketing materials recently for a large UK hotel chain and various hospitality/entertainment outlets and charities but am open and adaptable to many different ranges of industry.I also offer retainer work for businesses, a cost-effective method of providing a set number of hours a month that can be used on short-term notice and an ad-hoc basis for small and large tasks, similar to being a virtual staff member. This helps small and large businesses that need the services of somebody highly experienced and qualified for their social media, print/web marketing campaigns, design and branding but are unable to justify employing a full-time member of staff at this pay scale. Retainer work also eliminates the need to produce many individual purchase orders, internal authorisations for work and is a more cost-effective method than freelance hourly rate.As retainer work is based on loyalty and regularity from both parties I can be very flexible if some projects occasionally exceed the determined hours. I'd rather maintain a cheery working relationship and gain an invite to the staff Christmas party.
