To be completely honest, I'm a different animal... a unicorn of sorts. An artist at heart, a designer by trade, and a developer by necessity. My professional experience has included a range of creative operations, content creation, project management, leadership, and research responsibilities, as well as, specialized skills like copywriting, product photography, and digital illustration. When I entered the workforce in 2001, I cut my teeth in advertising and marketing graphic design. By 2013, I had evolved into a website designer leading a 20-member design department across two business units. Today, I'm a user interface/user experience developer focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining design systems for a suite of enterprise software applications. My career has been full of challenges, or as I see them: opportunities to grow. I strive to always be learning and creating. In 2018, after taking classes from a few local stained glass artists, I discovered a new passion designing and crafting stained glass panels, suncatchers, and other original glass art. In 2023, I tackled my first large-scale restoration - a 300+ piece Victorian window. This year I plan to do my first Tiffany-style lamp - a 822-piece peony turban shade!
