About Kathryn Grasha

The question of how galaxies evolve is one of the most fundamental in all of astronomy. My research lies at the intersection between observations and theoretical modeling to investigate the connection between star clusters and their gaseous environment to directly constrain the mechanisms that govern and regulate sub-galactic star formation processes. This informs us on the physics of star formation at the scales of individual stars that sets the fate of the chemical history and the evolution of galaxies over cosmic time.
