- Delivered innovative financial products for small businesses within one of Africa’s leading financial institutions, with offices in 32 countries, 69,000 employees, and $16 billion in assets- Led an intensive iterative process to establish a scalable business model to help small businesses access loans. The process required ongoing consultation and validation with both corporate and small businesses.- Mobilized and inspired cross-functional teams and partners across a complex organization to integrate the newly-created Enterprise Development unit throughout the bank’s operations - Created and institutionalized a governance function in partnership with the bank’s Group Deputy CEO to ensure that all the bank’s new initiatives were in line with South Africa’s job creation agenda

- Used design thinking, lean methods, and agile development to redefine product vision, roadmap, features, pricing, and technology development for underperforming cell phone banking service- Relaunched and managed the product, resulting in a sevenfold increase in active users (from 200,000 to 1.4 million over 10 months) and $3 million in monthly revenues

I joined as member of the innovation team to create Community Banking.

- Managed the development of media products for South Africa’s largest telecom company, including the creation of analytics, reporting, campaign management integration, customer profiling, and more- Launched text-based service with 600 million messages that generated $300,000 monthly revenue
