About Amy Walker
My greatest passion is cemetery photography and through this I am able to promote my community & those in it. Mobile is rich in history & has had a resurgence in its art district, which has made this an exciting time to promote my deep love & reverence for those that went before & built this city into what it is today. Much of my work is available for viewing on Facebook or Flickr. I love to take volunteer requests for specific, individual gravesites (either for research/geneologic or artistic purposes). I am also honored to serve on the board of trustees for Friends of the Catholic Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama. This organization of the Faithful works within the community to preserve & protect this sacred ground which is a historical beacon in our area as well as a place to honor our beloved dead.I also founded a jewelry & gift business, Night Walker Designs, with my husband who is now in charge of operations, as I officially started disability in July of 2015 due to my multiple sclerosis (diagnosed January 2001). While my husband Paul is the jeweler who designs & makes all of the beautiful pieces available in the Etsy store, I have been able to connect with customers & people on my own social media to increase the store's presence. My role is more of a back seat one for now at least, but I do love to make friends with & talk to customers & people who are interested in the kinds of items available through Night Walker Designs. Previously, I worked in the Medical Transcription field at my area's largest hospital association, which included transcribing for a majority of doctors who utilized our hospitals in a city of more than a quarter million. Also creator and administrator of a successful Facebook networking page for medical transcription professionals.This Linked In profile is currently for myself and my husband.

Currently serve on the board of trustees for Friends of the Catholic Cemetery in Mobile, AL. Work on photography, administration of Facebook page, participation in clean-up events, and membership recruiting.Friends of Catholic Cemetery is a ministry of the Archdiocese of Mobile dedicated to the restoration and preservation of one of Mobile's historic sites. Established in 1848, the cemetery is the burial site of many historic figures such as Fr Abram Ryan, Adm Raphael Semmes, John Rapier, Daughters of Charity, local parochial priests, and others. The cemetery is active today and appears on the National Register of Historic Places in Alabama. Respect for life literally extends from the womb to the grave.
