Responsibilities: • Operational support of passive & active Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPON fibre), inclusive of distribution DWDM, RF wireless network long -term evolution (LTE fixed wireless) and landbased satellite systems for NBN Co Network Operations.• Quality Control (QC) of network element installations. • Provide support for changes or upgrades to network elements. • Leadership in improving the operational and technical processes for the operational delivery. • Available for travel to deliver operational activities in remote rural locations. • Project management and QC of localised projects (minor Design & Construction, migration activities, recoverable works through external contractors. • Acceptance of outsourced assurance work through managing and conducting assurance related Quality Assurance (QA) activities and support of the passive and or active network/s. • Manage / conduct equipment and system level assurance activities in the field. • Provide ad hoc support for identified ISP Points Of Interconnect (POI). Work with all workgroups, contractors, and internal or external vendors in the restoration of services. • Provide technical on the job training and mentoring to all Delivery Partners, management and staff. • Preventative and corrective maintenance programs. • Part of a 24/7 on-call roster.
