In March 2012, James founded Robinson Cattle Co., to raise organic and natural beef cattle raised exclusively on grass and other acceptable grasses that qualify for the prestigious “grass-fed” label through FDA guidelines. This project involved the day-to-day care and management of a herd of 1208 steers, but involved more than organic feeding practices. The final beef products were superior in everyway to other beef currently on the market, based on a proprietary feeding program and spiritual prayer and blessings given to the cattle. The cattle gained weight and developed far faster than normal cattle normally achieve, and the beef was 90% graded as choice or prime. This result produced more tender, juicy, tasty and healthy beef products, and astonished beef industry insiders.

Double Spear Ranch is a long established cattle and guest ranch located on the Crow Indian Reservation near Pryor, Montana, that attracts both international and domestic visitors. James successfully ran the guest operation as well as raised beef cattle. Responsibilities included: Overall management; Preparing and arranging business and financial reports and contracts; Financial management; Business planning and other operational logistics. Additionally, James trained horses, cared for livestock, and helped to manage and entertain guests.

In February 2011, James was appointed to the Board of Directors of SQ Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that serves people and animals in need around the world by providing access to shelter, clean water, food, medicine, clothing, education and more. SQ Foundation promotes service with a compassionate consciousness and is one of three branches—the charitable organization—of its larger parent company, SQ Worldwide. SQ Worldwide offers a wide range of resources for personal development, humanitarian efforts and business. Responsibilities included: General oversight; Sponsorship development; Long-range planning; Donation development; Candidate selection. Served until September 2012.
