Stats stringers are responsible for digitally scoring games from the MiLB ballparks, which provides the data used in the live content applications on MiLB.com, including First Pitch, Gameday and MiLB.TV, real-time highlights and text alerts. Responsibilities included:• Arriving at the ballpark no later than one hour prior to the scheduled start time.• Double-checking and verifying all pre-game information: rosters, umpires, weather conditions, etc..• During the game, entering the results of every pitch and game event (plays, substitutions, etc.) using the proprietary software and coding language.• Work closely with game-night support staff (via AOL Instant Messenger) to ensure proper scoring of all game events and accuracy of data. • After the game, entering all post-game information: winning and losing pitcher, saves, holds, time and attendance. • Validating all stats and data in scoring software against the official box score provided by the Official Scorer.

• Wrote, edited, and disseminated editorial content including previews for NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAAF, NCAAB, PGA, and EPL in the form of blog articles, social media posts, and e-mail blasts.• Researched and analyzed statistics, betting odds, spreads, and over/under for editorial content. • Directed data entry team of 5-7 individuals regarding contest and weekly event scheduling.• Contributed to weekly strategy and visioning sessions with management team.• Marketed The Crowd's Line by running ad campaigns via Facebook for weekly contests and The Crowd’s Line College Football Show with Mark May and Lou Holtz.• Promoted The Crowd’s Line by uploading video content, relevant news stories, and TCL College Football show related matter to its official Facebook and Twitter accounts. • Ran the official Facebook customer service and Help Desk accounts answering user questions, monitoring comments, and managing complaints.• Worked in conjunction with development team communicating how to solve tech issues and scoring problems.
