The Center for Integrated Design (The Center) connects students from all majors across The University of Texas at Austin in collaborative, design-based learning experiences. Master of Arts in Design and Innovation (MADI) with a focus on Human-Centered Design.MADI was designed to respond to a demand, both from industry and students, for more opportunities to learn the skills and processes that define today’s most effective creative thinkers and problem solvers. Participants will be grounded in the methodologies of Human-Centered Design, including design research, idea generation, and rapid prototyping.  A hands-on, project-based curriculum means that students will apply the tools of design thinking and innovation through real and meaningful challenges. Intended to enhance any career trajectory, MADI students will be able to take advantage of an unprecedented multidisciplinary approach that opens up relevant electives across SMU departments for the first time.
