I am a Partner in the Law Firm of Gray & Feldman LLP in Rochester, New York. My practice concentrates in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and special needs planning for families of an individual with a disability, I also advise clients on matters of business law, tax planning and commercial transactions. My background is in Federal and New York State Tax Law which I uses to assist clients to prepare Wills and Trusts and to structure business succession planning. My passion is meeting the legal needs of individuals with disabilities and their families, including the preparation and operation of Supplemental Needs Trusts and appointment of Article 17-A Guardians. My interests have lead me to serve on the Board of Directors of Starbridge, Inc, a social services agency in the Rochester, NY area focusing on the needs of persons with a developmental disability and their families. I am a member of the Monroe County and New York State Bar Associations and is active in the Tax, Estate Planning and Elder Law Sections of each association. I am a member of the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester, serving on its Program Committee. I am a member of the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning Section of the Monroe County bar Association. Additionally, I am a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. I have extensive experience lecturing to attorneys, accountants and financial professionals on a variety of Estate Planning topics in the Western New York area. I am on the faculty of "LAWLINE" a provider of continuing legal education credits to attorneys in the northeastern United States. I have authored two books: "ESTATE PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION: A Simple Guide for New Yorkers," and "SPECIAL NEEDS PLANNING: A Simple Guide for New York Families with a Loved One with a Disability." I am a contributor to the NYSBA Elder and Special Needs Law Journal.
