About Grace Yi
Grace Yi is a recent graduate of UMBC with a B.A in English Literature. With experience in analyzing literature, creative writing (e.g. creative essays, fiction, poetry), and technical writing, she is able to effectively communicate her thoughts in various media formats. Practice in peer revisions and writing workshops from her English courses have also allowed her to refine her writing and editing process to effectively and efficiently provide final drafts that meet the requirements and expectations of her targeted audience. Through her internship at the Loch Raven Review and her experience as a copyeditor at the Retriever, Grace is also able to copyedit and proofread a variety of pieces from literary reviews to journalism pieces while following different style guides (AP and Chicago). Her current goal is to find a copyediting, copywriting, or proofreading position to gain experience in the editorial industry and later on attain her MFA in nonfiction writing. She is more than excited to learn about the different methods, processes, and programs that are used in editing and publishing and is enthusiastic to bring in her own knowledge in regards to literary research, grammar and proofreading, and cultural/language skills to the industry.
