The Marine Corps Officer Selection Office of Orange County evaluates and prepares candidates for success at Marine Corps Officer Candidate School (OCS). Marine Corps Officer programs place civilians, prior-enlisted military, reservists, and active-duty military into careers as company-grade officers in the United States Marine Corps. The program offers careers in aviation (no prior flight experience necessary), law, and many ground specialties, ranging from public affairs to infantry. Applicants with a college degree may attend the 10-week Officer Candidate Course. Applicants in pursuit of their college degree may attend two separate six-week summer sessions between years of college, or one 10-week summer session, as part of the Platoon Leaders Course.
