Ms. Grimes serves as an Environmental and Engineering Intern for AtkinsRéalis. She has assisted on transportation and communications-related projects including roadway and intersection improvements, multi-use trails, bridge replacements, roundabouts, broadband fiber optic cable, and connected vehicle infrastructure for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and local municipalities. Her responsibilities include background research and field surveys for community resources, cultural resources, and natural resources; preparation of public outreach and environmental documentation as required by the GDOT Plan Development Process (PDP) and Environmental Procedures Manual (EPM); and intersection traffic analysis utilizing GDOT’s Traffic Analysis Data Application.
