I have recently graduated from UL with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering. During my time at ULL, I have served as an engineering senator to the Student Government Association, a member of Omega Chi Epsilon, and a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Along with extracurricular activities, I have remained in the top of my class obtaining a 3.9 GPA with 134 credit hours. Some of my greatest accomplishments have come while being a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. During my time in the fraternity, I have served as Philanthropy Chair and New Member Education Leader. These positions have allowed me to develop my leadership skills by planning multiple events. Most significantly, I helped organize a week long philanthropy event which raised $28,000. I have also completed undergraduate research on the topic of biodegradable adhesives. More specifically, using brewery waste as a feed stock for a formaldehyde-free adhesive was researched. During this time, I was able to present my research in the E&T research day, and receive an LEAF award for outstanding undergraduate research. Along with school and fraternity life, I have found a passion in the real estate field. For the past two years, I have worked as a trainee real estate appraiser. I have completed around 500 appraisals and am well on my way to becoming a certified residential appraiser. One of the favorite qualities about the appraisal field is the autonomy this job allows me to have. This profession has allowed me to improve my organizational, communication, and analytical thinking skills.
