Act as a liaison between the Yale College Dean’s Office and student groups

An 8 week clinical immersion program for students in the Personalized Medicine and Applied Engineering MS program.- Shadowed several different physicians in a variety of fields: ENT, hand and upper extremity, electrophysiology, ortho trauma, interventional radiology, musculoskeletal oncology, medical physics, and emergency medicine- Observed in the operating room and clinic with a focus on medical device development

Mentor: John Geibel, MDUndergraduate research on 3D bioprinting with the HP Thermal Inkjet Pipette System. Culminated in a Senior Thesis titled "3D Bioprinting with the HP Thermal Inkjet Pipette System (TIPS) and Hydrogel Scaffold-Based Applications."- Operated a dual head Organovo bioprinter and fabricated bioprinted cylindrical tubes for testing as arterial conduits - Installed an HP Thermal Inkjet Pipette System (TIPS) and developed a compatible bioink with three different cell types- Demonstrated the use of TIPS to print bone cells onto a hydrogel support for wound-healing applications

Mentors: Anthony Atala, MD and Shay Soker, PhD10 week summer research program and completed project titled “Evaluation of Stratified Epidermis in a Bioprinted Full Thickness Skin Model In Vitro”- Operated an Integrated Tissue and Organ Printer to bioprint a trilayer skin construct using GelMa and a fibrin hydrogel- Analyzed epidermal stratification with immunohistochemistry and hematoxylin and eosin staining, imaged with confocal and fluorescence microscopy - Participation in the annual Regenerative Medicine Essentials course and World Stem Cell Summit as well as a weekly seminar series
