Class of 2023 Northern Arizona University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in English. GPA of 3.88 with an emphasis in Creative Writing.Worked in a housing community of about 400 students on campus. Filed reports for facilities or legal issues, handled housing policy infractions, planned educational and entertaining events on my own and with other Resident Assistants, and provided resources and support to incoming freshmen. Also assisted in social media takeovers for the residence hall’s Instagram and created advertising for events via social media and paper flyers. This allowed me to build communication skills across different mediums and across power structures within the housing department, as well as build my marketing skills. Also required extensive training on protecting sensitive information, data entry, and navigating personal issues with and for residents.Edited and wrote creative writing for Sonder Magazine in Flagstaff, Arizona for both of its issues. Wrote blog posts for Death Moth Press, ranging from album reviews to musician interviews to music video announcements. Provided freelance ghostwriting and proofreading for a variety of genres and lengths of projects, including full-length novels. Strengthened my ability to edit across genres, be attentive to both grammatical and plot errors, and work both alone and with a group to edit and write. Currently writing digital blog posts for Wave Learning Festival. Currently published in Issue 1 of Nightshade Literary Magazine, Issue 1 of Sonder Magazine, and soon will be published in Nightshade's queer anthology.Worked as a buyer for a local business in Flagstaff, Arizona. Communicating with vendors about order inquiries and budgeting, selecting products to sell in the store, using knowledge of current trends and customer requests, and following a budget across different lengths of time for different categories and quantities of merchandise. As of July 2023, entered products and purchase orders into our point of sale system to ensure proper inventory count and enable retail employees to properly sell our products.
