I am a Game Design and Development major at the Rochester Institute of Technology. My choice in major stems from a passion for designing game mechanics and building games. Ever since elementary school, I have been constantly planning out, and even sometimes building, board and card games, and I would often make extensive use of level editors in any game that would support it.Recently, as an intern for Watermark Retirement Communities, I researched the benefits of virtual reality for retirees, and helped roll out a program called EngageVR. I was responsible for choosing the headset that we ended up using and for developing the training around using the headset. The program initially launched at three communities, but Watermark hopes to extend the program to all of its communities across the country.
