Starting in 2014 my wife and I sailed a Lagoon 450 catamaran from France across the Atlantic Ocean to the Virgin Islands where we ran luxury term charters for three seasons. Although driving such a large yacht was a huge responsibility, running it as a charter business while living in tight crew quarters was the most challenging aspect of the venture. While serving as the captain of Great Adventure I learned many new skills and grew into a competent manager of our successful charter business. After three years living aboard, we gracefully passed the business onto a new crew who is continuing to operate Great Adventure as a charter yacht in the Virgin Islands.
