I started my career in banking through an internship with a local bank my senior year in high school. At the time I was mostly interested in the professional work experience and the paid holidays; little did I know what it would lead to. Over the next 8 years I had the opportunity to grow my industry knowledge and professional skills serving in front line banking roles including leading two teams to achieve top rankings company-wide in both service quality and sales production.Seeking an opportunity to spread my impact across the bank led me to move into training where I was able to help new bankers grow and coach leaders on driving team performance and culture. During my time in training I had the opportunity to develop and facilitate a Leadership program which serves as one of the high points in my career to this day.After nearly 5 years in training I stepped back into front line banking, developing a Customer Care team to serve both external and internal customers. In this role I helped establish a culture, defined key performance indicators, coached to increase quality, celebrated victories, and developed a Representative Development Program. With that team off and running, I have returned to create value utilizing my skills in instructional design and leadership training.I have a passion for leadership; both in my own development as well as helping others see new potential in themselves. I am always seeking to learn and grow from reading books by great leaders and seeking the counsel of the leaders around me in my daily life. Sharing what I learn with those around me and helping them see new potential in themselves is what energizes me and is my ultimate reward as a leader.
