In this role, I perform collaborative leadership for a non-profit student center focused on inspiring students to pray, serve, and belong. I help students at the University of Northern Iowa engage in Catholic Liturgy and grow their spirituality. I actively engage students to participate in and help lead events curated for their personal development. These include the planning and execution of prayer experiences, special liturgies, and the facilitation of positive interactions with students. I also plan the Liturgy with the Director and Chaplain, coordinate ministry scheduling for our Masses, manage the chapel environment, organize various events, and serve as Chair of the Liturgy Committee.

In this role, I shadowed and worked in multiple divisions, and learned all aspects of city operations. On a regular basis, I performed code enforcement, including field observation, reporting and recordkeeping, maintaining of positive public relations, and issue of official legal notices to property owners. I also regularly completed numerous projects in Human Resources, Legal Services, and Planning. I obtained proficiency in LAMA land use management software system through daily usage for multiple purposes, and acquired experience in OneSource and Laserfiche systems.

In this role, I worked and learned all aspects of municipal operations, especially the following: completed budget expenditure coding and work utilizing the Chart of Accounts, conducted planning related to the 4th of July Celebration, created social media content, collaborated with Iowa State University researchers for Shrink Smart Project, drafted and disseminated various public notices, and recorded minutes for council meetings and other board meetings.

I participated in a developmental/career preparedness program for this corporation. The programs offered to the interns focused on career preparedness, professional and skills development, networking, team collaboration, and workforce preparation. Specifically, I served as the Intern Chair of Project Hope, which provides personal hygiene and care packages to children in need. In this role, I collaborated with fellow interns and staff on the planning and execution of Project Hope. I also served as the Chair of the Intern Golf Outing, and helped organize and facilitate the event. I also authored articles about the internship program for the newsletter.
