I provide post-tensioning installation, stressing and grouting assistance to contractors. I collaborate with their key people on planning, equipment and crew training. I also provide custom machine design and manufacturing. Recent Projects:• Work plan development, troubleshooting and crew training for bonded PT projects on precast segmental and cast in place structures. • Supply of tendon installation equipment to improve safety and production. Including, pushers, power units, manual and remote controls, push cans, endo cans and electronic length and tendon batch counters• Design and supply of automated tendon pre-fabrication lines for segmental bridge projects and strand tendon tie-back suppliers.• Assistance with tendon installation in undersized or damaged ducts• In-place friction testing for multistrand tendon elongation calculations• Assistance with removing partially grouted tendons• Multistrand tendon anchor AASHTO testing with in-house #1300 ton hydraulic press • Stressing equipment calibration• Assistance with preparation and evaluation of field stressing data sheets• Vacuum grouting equipment supply and field assistance. • Consultation with design and contractor engineers to improve quality and constructability• Unbonded tendon repair, replacement and retrofit.

I'm an active voting member on PTI M50 and M55 Multistrand and grouted PT committees, CRT70 Bonded Tendon Systems Certification, and CRT100 Installer Certification committees. I have instructed at workshops for bonded and unbonded certifications as well as PT repair and inspection.

Pacific Northwest

Upon the December 2011 purchase of AVAR by SDI I managed post-tensioning field operations for projects in the Pacific Northwest including the SR520 Evergreen Point Floating Bridge Replacement for the Washington State DOT. This is included installation of over 4000 tons of post-tensioning in 23 pontoons up to 360' long. Helped plan and manage the installation of external tendons for joining pontoons in the water and cast-in-place segmental balanced cantilever structures.

I am very proud to be associated with this company and grateful for the opportunities I had working with the legendary team of Rene' & Trudi Friedrich. For the first 8 years I directed field operations primarily in the Pacific NW, but also Hawaii and Alaska. In that role I designed and constructed specialized equipment and work methods that helped set new standards for safety, production and quality. For the last two years I transitioned into directing an office staff that was responsible for estimating, bidding, contract completion, shop drawings, work and crew scheduling, and materials distribution. I was also responsible for purchasing decisions, maintaining inventories and billing. On a regular basis, I coordinated close to 100 projects in various stages of completion.
