While working as a SIEM engineer I covered two roles. First, I was a member of the SIEM consultant team, delivering Splunk projects which raised €500,000+ in revenue for the company. - Lead multiple Splunk Cloud and data migration projects often working directly with a client’s CTO. - Received a commendation from a client which lead to them undertaking additional project work with Integrity360- Hosted workshops, from Engineers up to senior executive level.- Installed and configured Splunk servers on Windows and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian).- Coordinated with customer Engineers to ingest new log sources.- Carried out troubleshooting for connection and log issues for non supported vendors e.g Secureauth, Claroty OT.- Performed reviews and gap analysis for Splunk Cloud migrations.- Completed SIEM validation tests.- Provided handover to the internal team for managed service.- Collaborated with the devOPs team to create correlation searches and alerts. Second, I worked with a team of security consultants to deliver a data center migration for one of Ireland’s leading banks. - Received hardware in the company lab to perform initial configuration. - Organised shipping and coordinated with data center engineers to receive equipment. - Installed and tested hardware on site, including multiple Cisco switch stacks, Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls, Radware anti-DDoS, Citrix netscalers and HP servers.- Completed extensive cabling of all devices to a professional standard.- Performed gap analysis on Citrix Netscalers and Checkpoint firewalls.- Collaborated while onsite with remote consultants to troubleshoot network issues.- Created, updated, and maintained cabling and low level design documentation.- Successfully completed data center migration within the project deadline.

Two-year apprenticeship program which blended college and work experience. Studied and attained the CompTIA A+ and Network+ professional certifications while also earning a QQI level 6 while working as a Level 1 Support Analyst. - Answered calls and emails from customers who have issues with their IT network. - Performed initial triage, solving basic issues and gathering information so any complex issue could be accurately passed up the chain. - Created tickets and documentation.- Assigned tickets to the relevant team’s queue. - Developed skills to manage expectations and stresses of the customer.In addition, I led a proof of concept project using automation suite Tines. - Began with zero experience and was able to self learn and upskill in the suite to take on and deliver projects.- Delivered two successful projects, coding two automation processes to emulate the current manual tasks.- Achieved the goals of reducing time spent by analysts on administrative tasks, and adding data enrichment. - The 15 minute admin task was reduced to a <20 second automated process.- Earned the opportunity to demo and present the findings to the head of technology of a leading Irish bank.
