Greeneagle Consulting is my third start up related to the highly diverse green economy. Our mission is to provide services to benefit a broad and diverse client base that will grow ecological products, and services and increase public awareness. We bring twenty years of experience developing sustainable practices that reduce expense, lower environmental impact and increase profit. We also offer special programs for educational institutions, governmental agencies, as well as not for profit organizations dedicated to the health of our environment. 2008-presentMY EXPERIENCEBiodiversity Programs for a series of publicly accessible outdoor learning landscapes funded by angel investors concerned with loss of biodiversity in a rural agricultural community. Documentation and educational workshops/ courses continue at three sites.I started my own niche green business in 1993 which becameGarden Design LLC, a custom landscape design - construction company. While our focus was on custom residential work, we also engaged in public landscape design and development with local and state government agencies, private foundations, and not for profit organizations including:NC Museum of Art Entrance Gardens, conceived by museum volunteers as a place for the intersection of art and landscape. This project was used by docents and the museum education department.Water Conservation Landscapes lead by the Durham Water Resources Department with support from the Department of Urban Forestry and Sunshares a consumer recycling NPO.Fundraising and grants administration is how I found NC.I was hired by the NC Department of Cultural Resources to manage and develop the new Design Arts program. This effort brought designers into the existing Visual Arts Program to promote collaboration and fund not for profit programs and events.Specialties: Collaborative design solutions, on-site project management, and public environmental education programs to stimulate individual action "in our own backyards". Design, public gardens, eco-events, recycled and repurposed products, sustainable global research.
