Strategist and Visionary authority of GE Healthcare's cloud automation technology, web applications, and web systems.Focus is providing on-demand cloud computing PaaS (Platform as a Service) for enterprise applications and tools. I am Principal Architect of Cloud automation and platforms, providing self-service hands off infrastructure provisioning of single and multi-server platforms leveraging Chef (Ruby), vCloud Director (REST), vCenter Orchestrator (JavaScript), and an in house catalog and asset management portal (Spring, Hibernate, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, Rhino) for which I am principal system designer and implementer).Automation work includes Microsoft Windows service development (C#) and scripting (Powershell) and Linux scripting (Bourne Shell).

GE Healthcare's Web technology infrastructure and platforms owner and Senior team leader of a 12 employee, 60+ contractor team with a budget of $2MM. The platforms include:-WebLogic, JBoss, Glassfish, WebSphere application server environments, containing over 1000 applications (both internal and external facing) across hundreds of Unix,Linux, and Windows (physical + virtual) servers.-Vignette Portal and Content Management environment for hosting gehealthcare.com-eCommerce PlatformAdditionally, I provide Java web standards and architectural/development guidance for GE Healthcare application teams.

-Reorganized the technical team functional reporting structure to increase overall capacity.-Completed FDA System/Software validation for the IDM platform.-Successfully managed the development and deployment of many scheduled system releases delivering over a hundred new items of functionality, performance improvements, and bug fixes.-Increased the success rate of automated identity lifecycle operations to 97% by designing and implementing a custom engine.-Increased quality of deliverables, and reduced maintenance costs and time to delivery, which increased the productivity and experience of the end user community.-Managed a development team that continually delivers against tight deadlines and difficult middleware integrations.-Reduced complexity and maintenance by over 90% -Improved performance of the system by over 150%.-Aided SOX by designing a robust, configurable, employee Role Change engine and a registration process for GE workers from non-Healthcare businesses.

-Lead technical developer for a Web-based administration system. The system was built around a single Request-Processor servlet and used an in-house developed Java object model for dynamic HTML content. The Business Entities were persisted to an Oracle database using an in-house developed persistence layer. Responsibilities include migrating the application architecture piece-mail to the new in-house architecture standard; refactoring existing design implementations for more efficiency, code reuse, and extension; technical mentor for the other team members; business logic implementer.-Team member for various architectural refactoring projects.

-Designer and developer of application-tier Java components for an n-tier Internet solution utilizing an HTTP Request Response servlet, which served dynamic HTML content via XSL transformations; Stateful and stateless business process objects and TOPLink persistence layer.-Co-designed and developed a Scheduler using RMI, JNDI, and EJBs, which managed concurrent jobs, repeatable jobs and run once jobs. -UI data content development consisting of transforming Java based XML DOMs to HTML via XSLT, and HTML form submissions.-Project leader, designer and developer responsible for a mission critical medical testing system built on Oracle with PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Oracle Report Builder.-Developed several significant performance enhancements uncovered during analysis. The enhancement included algorithm modifications, SQL changes, and database tuning.-Other responsibilities included testing and FDA required project documentation.

-Designer and developer of support applications for the internal document management system. The 2-tier Object-based system was a critical component responsible for product designs and costs of manufacturing.-Designer and developer of many MS Access utility databases with Visual Basic front-ends. Responsibilities included user requirements gathering, database normalization, front-end design, and maintenance. -Developed utilities include collecting of product workcenter costs, production tracking, bar-code label generation and shipment tracking.-Designer and developer of a C-based custom hardware application used in hand-held bar-code scanners. The scanners were used to collect inventory data.-Other responsibilities included maintaining the data warehouse for production tracking data, as well as building several Visual Basic querying tools running against MS Access and DB2 databases, and a Delphi based utility application for the computer help desk.
