As a Research and Policy Associate at Fair and Just Prosecution, I work alongside reform-driven prosecutors to craft written materials, organize thought-provoking learning opportunities, and advance policy initiatives aimed at creating a fairer, more compassionate criminal legal system. (You may notice I’ve chosen the term “legal system”—for many, especially those from marginalized communities, the system has been riddled with inequities, and until these issues are addressed, calling it a "justice" system feels premature.)Before joining Fair and Just Prosecution, I served as an Assistant District Attorney for Middlesex County, Massachusetts, where I prosecuted misdemeanor cases and spearheaded diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the Hiring and Training unit. I restructured the office's systemic racism training, developed a multi-faceted action plan to attract and retain diverse talent, and strengthened the office’s engagement with community stakeholders.I earned my JD from Boston College Law School and maintain active licenses to practice law in Massachusetts and New York. Beyond my legal work, I am a fiction writer and a volunteer Special Education advocate, combining my passion for creative expression with a commitment to using my legal and advocacy skills to drive meaningful social change and support vulnerable communities.
