Royal Government of Cambodia is working to improve the safety and security matter within and surrounding areas of the airport following the international standard of ICAO. With this regards, land acquisition is required. Green Goal entered in to a contract for this project responsible for preparing the resettlement action plan (RAP) following and complying to Performance standard No.5 of IFC. The bellow steps has been accomplished.1- Public information disclosed to all affected people2- Demarkation of the affected areas3- Mapping the affected locations with detail information of sites and land boundary of all affected plots4- Conduct census and IOL to all affected people and affected assets 5- Conduct socio-economic survey6- Conduct replacement cost study for both land and non-land assets including trees7- List of all affected households, entitlement, and compensation has been prepared8- Consultation of the main finding with AHs9- Finalization of the draft RAP (in progress)

Phnom Penh And 9 Towns/Municipalities Of Cambodia

The four project outputs are:1. A training needs assessment, followed by program design and pilot teaching in one small town which is not part of the group of nine selected towns.2. Scaling up the program to the full set of towns where the municipal staff and the staff of the related provincial line departments are to be trained by means of two series of short courses, covering management subjects and technical skills improvements. The training materials will be further developed in the form of a comprehensive training manual.3. Developing the existing draft for a National Urban Development Strategy (NUDS) by means of a stagewise inter-ministerial dialogue, based on an experts-authored draft document.4. Institutionalizing the designated national training institution that will take responsibility for conducting further training at subnational and local levels in the urban sector.
