- Work as a member of the team that provides consultative and proactive project management support to HBS’s account base.- Provide sales consultants and fellow engineers with design assistance, review, validation, and optimization of systems and protocols.- Contribute to product selection and research, configuration standards and best practices and educate sales teams on these products and services so that they can sell them.- Cross-Education/Mentoring of other engineers, technicians or related personnel.

Provide Windows engineering and administrative support to a large, complex, multi-site environment. Work as part of a team to support and maintain Windows workstations, servers, and enterprise services. Lead, design, coordinate, and implement complicated virtualization projects. Coordinate with local technical and project staff to assist the Wintel team with Windows engineering and virtualization tasks and responsibilities. Specific duties include: · Work in a team environment on virtualization projects· Troubleshoot windows server issues and related tasks· Develop, document, and perform approved system maintenance plans· Maintain monthly technical reports· Research, test, document, and implement new products· Perform scheduled weekend and after-hours work, as well as after-hours emergency work, as required· Create, administer, and maintain Active Directory/Exchange Accounts and Groups· Create, administer, and maintain VMware security permissions, updates, and administrative functions

• Actively supporting around 30 Managed Services customers• Knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Windows Server 2003 and 2008, Active Directory, and Exchange.• Active user of Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux systems for learning purposes. Actively pursuing new knowledge and understanding of each.• VMware installation, configuration, and management. Familiar and competent with other virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and XenServer• Citrix administration, including XenApp and XenDesktop• Backup products such as HP Data Protector and Symantec Backup Exec• Currently monitoring ~70 different metrics on ~500 servers and ~1500 workstations• Familiar with and currently using ITIL processes and protocols
