My two college textbooks—Grid Parity: The Art of Financing Renewable Energy Projects in the U.S. and my second book Dictionary of 21st Century Energy Technologies, Financing and Sustainability—are examples of the breadth of knowledge I bring to the Energy sector in the U.S. Both books are published by Fairmont Press through the Association of Energy Engineers.I currently serve on the Board of Directors of industry trade associations, have served on the advisory boards of banks and governmental planning and regulatory agencies, and am a frequent speaker at renewable energy and financing conferences. I am a writer with my finger on the pulse and heart of how energy projects get built and financed. I am a professional consultant to a wide audience including senior management, sales and marketing professionals, government policy developers, corporate accounting and legal advisors, investors, manufacturers, suppliers and energy consumers.My “from the trenches” approach to getting energy projects done is exemplified in the multi-faceted approach I take with the book Grid Parity—knowing that no project will be closed until all the aspects of financing are addressed. This book highlights how each of the financing disciplines must be explored to meet the needs of all parties to an energy project. I show how each individual component of the energy project must come together in a team approach to close the proposed energy project based on my years of experience in the corporate asset finance industry.
