I'm open to extra curriculuar environmental advisory roles across business sectors, most especialy finance and insurance.I'm a long time environmentalist and I've been fully plant-based for our planet and all life on it, since February 2016. I've been an MC, chair, panellist, speaker, auctioneer at countless events, raising money for environmental and women's non-profit organisations.I'm a proud Mentor for Oxford University undergraduates and a was nominated as a Fellow of the RSA back in 2010 for my work on sustainable living.I was made an honorary fellow of the RSA in 2009 for my broad brush work promoting sustainable living. As well being a passionate advocate for simple, green living, I also endeavour to be a voice for women's empowerment, leadership and rights. I'm a survivor of DV and for the last 12 years, I've been Patron of an organisation that helps women and girls in crisis in the South West.I served 10 years as media trustee for the National Association for Children of Alcoholics, retiring only to concentrate fully on setting up Word Forest.I'm always open for conversations with people who want to collaborate and #dreambig but they need to be full of actions and ability to deliver too.#womensempowerment#climateemergency#leadbyexample

I've written articles for many of the UK broadsheets, mainstream magazine and corporates too. They include Good Energy, the Environment Agency, Green Parent Magazine, The Ecologist, France Magazine and many others.Topics I enjoy exploring: * how to 'slow down and green up' (a self-coined phrase for my genre)* how to downshift without selling up and moving abroad (bucking a massive media-fuelled trend of the 1990'-2000's)* giving a positive embrace to working less and living with less (I also founded InterNational Downshifting Week)* growing and rearing your own food (I looked after 10 ex-battery chickens and penned a foreword about chicken keeping before I was vegan, of course)* make do and mend * using rubbish as a resource (includes being commissioned to writing The Book of Rubbish Ideas)* seasonal organic cooking, preserving, storing (various outlets and books - I even won an award for my food photography!)* eco-parentingand more...From 2007, I started presenting my own regular radio programmes on sustainable living. I also made regular guest appearances on BBC Somerset, BBC Dorset, BBC Solent and others.Until recent years, my stance has generally been upbeat and positive, however, as the gravity of our climate crisis has deepend, so has my tone and my standpoint. I presented, wrote and produced a number of shows as a sole presenter and double header. I also helped new volunteers develop a range of skill sets as they learned how become radio presenters.I actively endeavoured to recruit other female presenters. I joined the committee early on in 2007 and I was the only female on it for the entire time I worked there.I occasionally presented one-off specials, as well as presenting my regular show (10am-1pm Wednesdays, then 6pm-8pm on Saturday night). I assisted with almost all of the outside broadcasts with fellow presenters and the tech team (the 3-day Taunton Flower Show, the carnival, special Christmas and New Year events and so on).My love of radio broadcasting will never die - I'm always happy to grab the baton to appear in a podcast or be a guest on somebody else's programme.
