My responsibilities and successes include: • Managing and delivery of the successful roll-out of nationally-based education programmes including: education outreach initiatives; ambassador and mentor programmes; school professional development events. My team delivered inspiring and engaging lessons, workshops and residential activity with young people, facilitating input from experts and speakers, including university academics and external partners. • Developed and managed capacity building workshops, a programme of networking events and bespoke professional development sessions for teachers, aligned to strategic commitments.• Management of external stakeholder networks including university teams, school networks, sector experts, charitable and community partners.• Providing leadership and professional development to University teams, guiding project and resource development, capacity building and evaluation to ensure effective programmes are in place to successfully deliver Widening Participation agendas with schools locally and nationally. • Event management of a two-day national education conference (100+ delegates), regional events and annual awards ceremonies as part of a collaborative education partnership.• Managing delivery teams of permanent staff, student interns and university Student Ambassadors to develop and evaluate 'widening participation' programmes. • Working on projects led by Applied Inspiration's SEER service - a collaborative HE model designed to deliver regulatory and institutional outcomes through the provision of services relating to data and evidence building, evaluation and research. SEER is exclusively for small, specialist and newly registering providers.

An 11-month project management role, coordinating interactions with core stakeholders in the HE sector, with particular focus upon international engagement activities. I had primary responsibility for project managing a large-scale, multi-day international higher education conference in partnership with US-based organisation the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI). Responsibility for: overall project management from planning to delivery; overall coordination of the internal and cross-organisational project teams; relationship management with stakeholders from the UK, Europe and the US; delegate and speaker management; coordination of post-event evaluation and reporting. The event was attended by over 170 leading experts from US, UK and Europe and received a 98% satisfaction score.

I led the development of student-led activities in schools and identified opportunities for collaboration and partnership development with external organisations. Faculty link for the faculty of Arts and Creative Education and the faculty of Health and Applied Sciences, working collaboratively with colleagues from other services to identify strategic priorities.Managed the successful design and implementation of new online systems for the team's project work, and led a social and digital media communication strategy to engage external stakeholders.

I worked both within the careers service at the University of York and with York Cares, a business in the community charity hosted by the university (yorkcares.co.uk), with close working with widening participation teams to achieve University strategic outcomes.Responsibility for the management and development of educational outreach and volunteer-led activities to enhance student experience and raise aspirations of young people across the city through the provision of higher education role models. I successfully grew participation of student volunteers in schools from 500 to 700 per academic year, engaging 50 local schools from primary to FE. I directed the workload of an administrative assistant and management of a Student Management Group, growing participation from 5 members to a regular group of 20.Complimenting this role, I was the University lead for the York Children's University initiative on behalf of York Cares, managing projects involving the University, third sector organisations and businesses including Aviva, the Food and Environmental Research Agency, Northern Rail and North Yorkshire Police. These projects sought to enhance widening participation outcomes, inspire children and young people across the city to consider a range of careers and education pathways, and motivate their achievements and aspirations for the future.
